Description
This workshop is above all a journey. A culinary, sensory, and cultural journey through African cuisines, where we let ourselves be guided by the seasons, available products, and the inspiration of the moment. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed and immersed in African culture. The workshop is structured around a complete menu with starter, main course, and dessert.
You will create a starter inspired by African traditions, often focused on crispy textures and fragrant garnishes. Depending on the sessions, this may be inspired by samosas, plantains, or reinvented starters, always intended to awaken the taste buds. The main course is the heart of our journey.
You will cook an iconic African dish or a reinvented creation, sometimes with a fusion touch. Depending on the seasons and the inspiration of the moment, the recipes may be inspired by dishes based on attiéké (cassava couscous) or great traditional sauces like mafé (Senegal, Guinea, Mali), moambe (Congo DRC), or yassa (Senegal), etc.
You will finish with an African sweet touch, between traditions and contemporary creations. The inspiration can vary from desserts based on coconut, fonio, or fruits, like a reinvented banana bread, depending on the season.
Throughout the workshop, you actively participate: preparation, cooking, assembly, and presentation. The colors, smells, and exchanges are fully part of the moment.
The instructor ensures both pleasure and comfort for everyone: the proposed recipes are often naturally gluten-free, and particular attention is paid to any intolerances or dietary restrictions (suitable for vegetarians and vegans).
The experience ends with a friendly tasting of the dishes prepared together, in a warm and generous atmosphere, true to the spirit of African cuisines.
