Slam Poetry – Lieselot from Funkey
I come from a place where everything looked sorted, but where more often than not it went off the rails if you looked closely. Well — the city and the school system: bulky, slow. Plenty of goodwill, but little pace behind any question.
A culture shock when I walked in here: sales in turbo mode, anything goes, just BAM. Cliq messages like confetti, calendars packed with action. Intense, but strangely enough exactly the pull I needed.
A rollercoaster, but one with seatbelts made of gold. Huddled together, the nerves and the tension building… but every time we step off it proud and fulfilled, as a team, as people, with a smile and a new funkey plan ahead.
Funkey as a source of daily dopamine shots, of highs and lows, and every so often something 'out of nowhere'… The kick of great deals, the tasty humour and the warm sharing, colleagues who don't shy away from vulnerability but actually heal it.
These days I sprint along with the Funkey flow, without it feeling like a sprint, just… like that. The people? Warm and comforting, like my morning coffee. The culture? Honest and motivating, like a trophy you've won.
My conclusion? My place is here, no doubt about it. And I've only just begun — are you going to run along with me too?
